NS™ Technical Custodian
Fearnley Procter Group, with offices established in key oil & gas countries worldwide, is seeking to appoint an NS™ Technical Custodian for the following widely recognized Standards designed to reduce NPT through equipment failure:
- NS-1™ Quality & Inspection Requirements for New & Refurbished Drilling and Well Completion Equipment
- NS-2™ Inspection of Used Drilling and Well Completion Equipment
- NS-14™ Drill String Design
The Technical Custodian will be based in our Houston office and responsible for the following:
- Maintenance of Standards to ensure updates are incorporated when required due to new products, inspection methods/techniques, changes in API, etc.
- Lessons learned from equipment failure investigations are captured and adapted into the Standards.
- Focal point for Technical Enquiries including updating process, distribution, liaison with IT Department, Design Engineers & Operations Managers within the Group Companies.
- Assistance in development of Standards through technical writing/involvement with Study Groups, API, ISO.
- Input in development of Fearnley Procter Group’s additional Technical Publications in the NS™ series.
The successful candidate should have previous Oil & Gas industry experience, preferably working with similar standards in manufacturing and inspection, quality assurance/quality control, be self-motivated and have excellent communication skills. Previous experience in technical writing would be an advantage.
